1st Day Post Surgery - 12:00 PM

After much thought I have decided to post an after surgery picture.  There are others but I don't want to be too sensational or take away from the real reason I'm posting.  There was also a little concern on my part about how others would view the pictures.  I have shown them to a few friends and their reactions have all been very different.  Most of them saying they were not really prepared for what they saw.  So maybe slowly I will release the pictures but for now the distance shots will have to do until we see what the comments are.

So with that - here is the first picture we took when we saw Lilee after surgery.

Hi Afton, Larry, and little Lilee,
We just wanted to let you know our prayers, thoughts, and love are for you.  You are all very brave and have great faith.  We really appreciate any updates that you wish to share. The pictures are informative and let us know how marvelous many things of medicine are at this time.  Our biggest concern is not to interfer or take you away from what is important at this time.  We do appreciate the updates as we continue to have you all in our prayers.  The important thing for us is for you to know of our love, prayers, fasting, and support for all of the Foltz family.
This experience too will be overcome with growth and blessings.
The Tuellers

I hope you can physically feel the prayers and love that are being sent your way. My heart goes out to you. Please tell Afton I love her and my arms are around her. I'd say the same to you Larry, but that might be weird.
As for the pictures, do what you feel comfortable with. This is your family's experience and if documenting it this way helps or brings comfort or just gives your phone a break, then by all means do what you wish.
Praying for you and thinking of you, The Raders

Hi Guys,

She looks beautiful in the pictures.  If you squint your eyes just right, all the wires and machines kind of go away.  You have been in our thoughts and prayers.  Thanks for posting updates on the blog.  We have been following closely.  Its amazing to see what the human body is capable of especially with the kind of love and support you provide.  Hang in there!  We're cheering for you!

Steve

The pictures help those of us who make feeble attempts to feel what you are going through and offer our support.  Lilee is beautiful and our prayers will continue on behalf of all of you.

Hi guys,
I am so glad that things are going well.  We are all praying for her and for you.  You guys are amazing people whom I admire very much so.  Your strong faith helps to make mine even greater!  Lilee is beautiful.  (By the way, love the way you spelled her name; the ee's are perfectSmile ) I am here if you need anything.  I will continue to watch for new updates.  Thanks for sharing with all of us!
Love,
Jodee

Good Morning Folts',

Wow, what an adventure huh? She is absolutely gorgeous. And what great times we live in that you have options to share with either words or pictures. Any information, how ever you decide to relay is appreciated. Everyone has been asking how things are going , so I just bring up the blog and share. You all are simply amazing. And our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.

Larry and Afton- I am so happy the surgery went well. I have been praying and asking friends for their prayers also. I want you to know how much you are loved and thought about during this difficult time. May Lilee always have the fight for life as she does now. Thank you for blogging about the progress. It is great to feel like we are there with you during this difficult time. May God bless your family always.

Love, Your Cousin

I am the proud father of 6 Children (5 girls and 1 poor boy).  Our second youngest daughter was born with a heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).  In a nutshell the left side of her heart never fully developed.  Hopefully this site will chronicle the progress she is making and everyone who is interested can keep up to date.
